Q: Can Health Information Network students take advantage of e-student memberships?
A: Full-time college students who are not presently employed in the healthcare finance profession or one of its specialties, are eligible for HFMA Student e-Membership.

Student e-Members and Chapter Membership Count

Q: Do student e-members count toward the membership count?
A: No, student e-members are not included in a chapter’s membership count.

Student e-Members and Chapter Education Credit

Q: Do chapters get education credit when student e-members attend events?
A: Student e-members can be counted as non-members. Your chapter receives full credit for chapter-produced programs, half-credit for programs co-sponsored with non-HFMA organizations, and no credit for Limited Involvement Participation in a non-HFMA program that the chapter promoted.
